Reltio Selects Google Cloud Spanner for Real-time Cloud Database Capability

Reltio is pleased to share that we have selected Spanner, Google’s distributed SQL database service, as our primary database for our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) operations. This integration with Google brings many benefits to our customers, including enhanced scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability through Reltio’s cloud-native MDM offering.

Spanner is a globally distributed database service built for the cloud that combines the benefits of a relational database structure with non-relational horizontal scale. It provides features such as global transactions, strongly consistent reads, and automatic multi-site replication and failover. The database service is also highly scalable, with automatic elastic scaling, on-demand capacity, and unlimited storage.

Reltio runs on all three major cloud providers: Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure, and we are transitioning from our existing NoSQL database to a cloud-specific database management system on each.

Data Unification in Milliseconds

The seamless transition to Spanner on GCP means Reltio’s customers benefit from industry-leading, real-time performance. Reltio’s modern master data management (MDM) platform is deployed in the critical path of time-sensitive services such as e-commerce, account creation, and call centers. Customers will experience decreased latency when storing, querying, and analyzing their data, regardless of the volume. Spanner provides millisecond performance at scale and 99.999 percent availability.

The integration with Spanner also expands upon Reltio’s long-standing, multi-year relationship with Google, which includes deep integration with Google Cloud BigQuery.  Supported by the global presence of GCP Availability Zones, Reltio’s GCP footprint is available in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
